Tag Rules: See Every Tag Automation in One Place
Tag Rules answers a question every admin eventually asks: “if I put this GoHighLevel tag on a contact, what actually happens on my WordPress site?” Tag-triggered automation can be configured in a dozen different places — Role-Based Tags, content restriction meta boxes, Elementor conditions, Gutenberg blocks, Contact Form 7 forms, WooCommerce products and plans, LearnDash courses and groups, conditional menus, and more. Tag Rules gathers every one of those rules into a single list.
Where to find it
Go to Syncly → Settings → Tag Rules. Every rule on the page is grouped by the tag that triggers it, so you can search for a single GoHighLevel tag and instantly see every place it is used across the site — instead of checking Role-Based Tags, then every product, every course, every page meta box, one at a time.
What shows up on the page
- Free plugin sources: Role-Based Tags, Tag-based content restrictions, Elementor conditions, Gutenberg restricted-content blocks, and Contact Form 7 tag automations.
- Pro sources: WooCommerce Memberships, WooCommerce Subscriptions, WooCommerce Abandoned Cart, LearnDash courses and groups, Login Sync, Conditional Menus, and Family Accounts.
- Each row shows the tag, the source (for example a specific product or course), and a plain-language description of what the tag does — grants access, removes access, applies a role, enrolls in a course, and so on.
Rule Safety warnings
Next to certain rules the page shows a warning when a tag configuration could unintentionally bypass content restrictions — for example if a tag both grants access to protected content and is applied broadly through an unrelated automation. Review these warnings before relying on the tag for gating access.
Keeping the list current
The rule set is cached and automatically refreshes whenever you save a post, save a nav menu item, or save any Syncly settings tab, so the page always reflects your current configuration without a manual rebuild. To see how a specific contact’s own tags line up against these rules, use the Tag Rules Impact panel on that user’s profile — see “Tag Impact: Preview What a Tag Will Do Before You Apply It.”
